Guys! It’s Christmas! Did you know? That trampolining dog must’ve given it away, surely? Anyway, I’m sure everyone’s been holding off starting their Christmas shopping, ready and primed for when I might suggest which items you and/or your family and friends might like, so I’ll put you out of your misery.
Here we have a men’s gift guide, with a women’s guide coming up next. I’ve tried not to be too ‘pink is for girls and blue is for boys’, because, you know, it’s 2016 and I’m all for gender fluidity and #feminism, and there’s also obviously some crossover – but, you know, girls need sports bras and boys don’t.
It’s all stuff that’s nice, cool, useful or hopefully all three. So click, browse and buy to your heart, and bank balance’s, content.
Tribe Sports men’s core long sleeve training top, £26
Tribe Sports has some really nice kit for bargain prices – it’s one of my favourite brands. This running top functions both on its own or as a base layer, and comes in much more exciting colours than the usual black/grey/navy men’s options.
Reebok Crossfit Backpack, £124.95
As a bit of a neat freak, the different compartments in this bag are a big plus. Sections can be used for laptops, shoes, smelly sweaty kit and a water bottle. Plus, it’s made from a lightweight durable material called Cordura, which means you can really put it through the ringer.
Iffley Road Barnes Damson Hat, £28
Everyone’s head and ears get chilly running in the cold – especially for those who are a bit, er, follicularly challenged. This merino hat keeps you warm without overheating (and thus your head sweating into your eyes), and as with Iffley Road’s other products, it feels lovely.
Assos Werksmannschaft Eyewear, £235
Fun to say, fun to wear – these cycling sunglasses have been specially designed to protect against UV rays and glare while you’re peddling. And they look nice.
Nike Havoc Training Gloves, £23
Rough post-weights hand callouses aren’t the one – these training gloves are made of soft suede with laser-cut perforations for breathability, and a silicone pattern for added grip, helping you to lift even heavier.
Under Armour Men’s Mirage 2-in-1 Training Shorts, £30
Keeping you comfortable and your modesty contained, these double layered shorts have HeatGear compression technology for support, 4-way stretch for mobility, moisture-wicking and anti-odour tech to prevent smells and microbes.
